HEALTH AND SAFETY
ALEX STEWART INTERNATIONAL and our worldwide group of companies are a leading force in the inspection and analysis industry. Our unwavering commitment to health and safety forms the cornerstone of our operations. We understand the importance of a safety culture in our relationships with key stakeholders and we are committed to providing a robust health and safety culture and safe place of work for all employees, clients and partners across all of our business sectors. We have implemented a full health and safety policy based on ISO 45001 and we are committed to fully comply with the HASAWA 1974 and its Approved Codes of Practice.
Our safety protocols comply with industry standards, but often exceed them. Our commitment is based on rigorous training, meticulous risk assessments and continuous monitoring to mitigate against foreseeable risks. We remain dedicated to embracing the latest advancements in safety technology, making it our mission to remain at the forefront of industry best practice.
We review our safety policy each year and we are committed to implementing the PDCA principles advocated through planning and checking the effectiveness of the policy. We are also committed to consulting with our staff on safety issues and our safety committee is made up of representatives from each business area. Reporting of safety incidents and near-miss events are highly prioritised so that effective corrective action may be implemented. Reporting of safety up to board level remains a key performance indicator to ensure that appropriate levels of communication from shop floor to boardroom are maintained.
