MEDITAG & KIBO
GOVERNMENT
MEDITAG
The MEDITAG is a program of KIBO Laboratories, a division of Alex Stewart International, that effectively resolves the prevalent problem of counterfeited medicines whereby the packaging and presentation of brand products are copied, but where the product is quite often not even similar to the original and usually totally ineffective. This criminal trade causes untold damage in the lives of people and the wellbeing of nations.
To prevent counterfeit, and also unregistered, medicines from entering a nation's market, the MEDITAG Program ensures the secure delivery of legitimate medicines from the production line to the hands of the consumer.
KIBO Laboratories
Alex Stewart performs, on behalf of governments, the control of imported minerals destined to refineries which are later re-exported.
KIBO produces a Taggant Security Ink uniquely and specifically coded to identify the client country, which is simply impossible to falsify. Taggant identification particles are a microscopic, traceable, anti-counterfeit technology that generates a unique numeric code sequence that uniquely identifies a particular product. |
KIBO prints high security stickers with the Taggant Security Ink containing taggants specifically encoded to identify the client country. The stickers can be read and interpreted with portable devices provided by KIBO. |
KIBO contacts drug manufacturers, both in-country and abroad, whose products are marketed in the client country. KIBO confirms if they are bona fide producers of legitimate medical products and provides them with the taggant-encoded stickers which they affix on the products to be sold in the client country. |
KIBO trains government officers in the proper operation of portable scanners used to identify stickers printed with the Taggant Security Ink. The scanners are used to confirm the authenticity of medicines at customs clearance points, distributor warehouses, and neighborhood pharmacies. |
KIBO Inspections
KIBO Laboratory inspects and certifies, on behalf of governments, foodstuffs, raw materials for the production of foodstuffs, agricultural products, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks throughout the phases of production, storage, transport and sale (including imports and domestic products). KIBO's inspection and certification program focuses on food safety and quality related to contamination and adulteration. Priority is given to the protection of consumer health and economic concerns as well as to the protection of honest entrepreneurs.
Production inspection: Pertains to the inspection of food processing plants that produce canned or packaged products. Alex Stewart performs the sampling and analysis of the products to check for food safety and quality, inspects the premises to verify hygienic conditions, checks the measuring systems, and carries out any other tests and inspections in accordance with all applicable sanitary regulations. These inspections are usually scheduled once a year, except in certain emergency conditions that might require immediate care, such as a case of suspected food contamination.
Quality inspections encompass both analytical quality and sensory quality requirements. The analytical quality requirements mainly include physical and chemical requirements for quality such as moisture content, ash content, fat content, sugar content, acidity, granulation, or the content of additives. KIBO utilizes the most advanced laboratory technologies for this purpose. The sensory quality requirements include, for example, foodstuff consistency, structure, color, taste and odor.
Product Certification: KIBO issues a master certificate to each producer and importer per year and per product, with information on the quality analysis of the product. Then KIBO sells to the producer or importer high-security labels (infrared stamps, optical variable ink, intaglio) that must be affixed to each product so that that field-inspectors can identify the real, certified product from the adulterated one. The stamps are manufactured with high quality ink and paper of the same quality as bank notes. These stamps are numerated and assigned to a manufacturer or importer under rigorous control and auditing. All the information contained in the label and stamps are computerized and can be read by field-inspectors using infrared light.
